Good Day! I’m Duane Abernathy, and I'm the host of the Daily Bible Journey. Currently, it’s a one-man show, but we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be adding an Operations Technician to enhance our production efforts.
Hello! I'm Jon Wright, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Daily Bible Journey. I'll be stepping in as an Operations Technician once I fulfill my current obligations.
Hi, I'm Jessa! It’s truly an honor to be invited to serve as a board member, and I take this responsibility very seriously. It is my hope that all of us can grow together through the Daily Bible Journey.
What We Do
We want to provide the opportunity to get "Back to Basics" with the Word of God, Cover to Cover, Genesis to Revelation, in a video/podcast format. The current vision also includes having guest-readers contribute as well. For example there is a pastor in northern California who offers the best explanation of the temptations of Christ that I or anyone who's heard him talk on the subject has ever known. When we come to that portion of the text, I would very much like to have him do the reading. We will include other guest speakers/readers along the way when we can.
The Daily Bible Journey was born from a heartfelt desire to make the Bible accessible to everyone. We want to help Christians of all ages and walks of life, or those simply curious about the Bible, to deepen their faith, and foster personal spiritual growth.
What makes The Daily Bible Journey truly unique is our unwavering focus on the direct, unadulterated Word of God. We believe in empowering you to hear directly from the Bible itself. This is not meant to be a substitute for your personal time alone with God, but we strive to help you carve out sacred moments for scripture in your busy schedule ensuring your spiritual nourishment comes straight from the source.

Our Subscription service includes additional content and biblical teachings for those who wish to delve deeper, or even just support the ministry.

Where We're Coming From
Our journey began with a profound desire to help people discover the gospel for themselves. The decision was made to pursue the Daily Bible Journey one afternoon while deep in prayer, and contemplating Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" (NKJV).
Well, what better way to "seek first the kingdom of God..." than by exploring His Word? Then it suddenly hit me in one of those "God moments" that I needed to help others to do the same thing along the way, and The Daily Bible Journey was born.
Knowing there many people is todays busy world who find it difficult to make time for the Bible, we decided to make that part easy. And while there are thousands (probably millions) of biblical teachings available, we didn't see any online format where the Bible itself was being read in it's original format, beginning to end, Genesis to Revelation in it's purest form. There is no danger of misinterpretation if the Spirit of God is doing the interpreting for you directly from the His Word. And the Bible cannot be taken out of context if the original context/wording is right there for you to see/hear for yourself.
It is our deepest, fondest prayer that the Bible will be made clear to you as we journey daily through it's timeless wisdom together.
